Injection Molding Technician

Pay: $35-$55/hr

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Technician to support a high-volume plastics manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for machine setup, mold changes, process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintaining production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust injection molding machines

• Perform mold changes and machine startups

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-related issues

• Optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency

• Investigate and resolve quality concerns

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs

• Train and support production operators

• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product quality

Qualifications

• Experience with plastic injection molding in a manufacturing environment

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with mold changes, machine setup, and process adjustments

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and adjust machine parameters

• Experience using precision measuring equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Husky injection molding machines

• PET preform manufacturing experience

• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

• Experience in automated manufacturing environments

Work Environment

Fast-paced manufacturing facility focused on high-volume plastic injection molding. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment and supporting multiple machines and processes throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
