Job Duties
Multiple openings. Remote work available anywhere within the US or onsite at unanticipated end clients. Design and build back-end services that support our portfolio of data-centric clinical and analytic applications. These applications leverage cloud computing, big data, mobile, data science, data warehousing, machine learning using state of the art software development applications and frameworks. Our Software Developers ensure that these cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale as data volumes and traffic increase. Duties and responsibilities include the following. Work closely with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications as required to benefit our practice and patients. Work closely with the Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects to translate requirements into code. Develop services around data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics and machine learning. Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development and integration frameworks. Program in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java etc. Work on deployment automation/configuration management with tools including but not limited to ADO, Puppet, Chef or Ansible or Azure Pipelines, CloudFormation, Terraform following a DevOps model. Ensure all appropriate documentation of processes and source code is created and maintained. Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization. Participate in expert level troubleshooting and resolve problems through root cause analysis, data and system investigation. Build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments. Use prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction. Update interfaces to new document management system. Migrate our patient registration system to new servers and middleware. Update our interfaces to Research’s new laboratory information management system (LabVantage 8). Migrate our legacy Perl/CGI web pages to our more modern JSF-based web stack. Travel may be required infrequently (less than 5% of the time, or less than 13 days per year) to unspecified locations within the United States.

Minimum Education Required
Reqd: master's degree in computer science, IT, or related technical + 24 months of experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer in a healthcare setting; must also have 24 months of experience with RESTful APIs, application or systems testing, Agile methodology, and at least 1 backend service tool (examples include but are not limited to JAX-RS, Spring Boot, Swagger, Postman, Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, etc.), with all 24 months of experience in the same tool. This experience may be concurrent with or separate from the requirement of 24 months of experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer in a healthcare setting.
