We’re looking for a Head of North America Sports & Media Partnerships to join Snap’s Content & Partnerships organization. This leader will own Snap’s strategy and relationships across the North American sports and media ecosystem, working with the world’s leading leagues, teams, broadcasters, media companies, rights holders and talent to build innovative partnerships that drive value for Snapchatters, partners and Snap’s business.
This role will be responsible for defining where and how Snap invests across Sports & Media, developing and managing our most strategic relationships, and identifying new opportunities to bring premium content, major cultural moments and differentiated experiences to Snapchat.
Working from our LA or NYC office, you will collaborate closely with teams across Content & Partnerships, Product, Creator, Sales and Marketing to ensure our partnerships translate into meaningful impact across audience growth, engagement, product adoption and revenue.
What you’ll Do

Own Snap’s North America Sports & Media partnerships strategy, identifying the partners, rights, content and cultural moments where Snap can create differentiated value

Lead and deepen strategic relationships with major leagues, teams, broadcasters, media companies, rights holders, athletes and talent

Develop a clear strategy for Snap’s presence around the biggest moments in sports, entertainment and culture, identifying opportunities to make Snapchat an essential destination for fans

Identify, negotiate and execute high-impact partnerships and strategic deals that expand Snap’s content ecosystem and unlock new opportunities across the platform
-
Develop strategies to increase partner investment in Snapchat, including content creation, distribution, promotion and adoption of new products and capabilities

Serve as the senior internal advocate for North American Sports & Media, bringing partner insights, industry trends and market opportunities back into Snap and influencing internal strategy and product roadmaps

Represent Snap externally with senior executives, partners and industry leaders and serve as a spokesperson for Snapchat across the sports and media ecosystem

Lead cross-functional initiatives around major tentpoles and partnerships, establishing clear objectives, ownership and execution plans across internal teams

Stay deeply connected to shifts across sports, media, technology and culture, identifying emerging partners, platforms, behaviors and opportunities that should inform Snap’s strategy
Minimum Qualifications
-
8+ years of experience in sports, media, technology, partnerships, business development or a related industry
-
Significant experience developing and managing strategic relationships with senior executives across the sports and/or media ecosystem
-
Demonstrated experience developing, negotiating and executing complex partnerships and strategic deals
-
Strong understanding of the North American sports and media landscape, including leagues, teams, broadcasters, rights holders, talent and emerging digital platforms
-
Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
-
Excellent executive communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Deep network of relationships across the North American sports and media industries

Experience working at or with a major technology platform, media company, league, team, broadcaster or rights holder

Strong understanding of the digital content, creator and advertising ecosystems and how they intersect with sports and media

Demonstrated ability to connect partnership strategy to broader business outcomes including audience growth, engagement, product adoption and revenue

Ability to think strategically about industry trends and translate them into clear priorities and actionable opportunities
-
Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity and drive multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
-
Strong analytical judgment and ability to use data to evaluate opportunities, prioritize resources and measure partnership performance
-
Entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of developing new partnership models and bringing ambitious ideas from concept through execution

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000 annually.
Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$270,000 annually.
Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :
The base salary range for this position is $162,000-$241,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
