Western Kentucky University's Psychology Department (www.wku.edu/psychology/) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-eligible Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position in clinical psychology beginning August 2027. This position will primarily support the clinical psychology master's program, but the Department of Psychology also has an undergraduate major in psychology, an APA-Accredited PsyD in clinical psychology, and an education specialist program in school psychology. The Department of Psychology is housed in the collaborative College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, which also has programs in teacher education, counseling, educational leadership and administration, military sciences, and more.
Responsibilities for the position include teaching graduate (e.g., intellectual assessment, psychopathology, psychotherapy practicum) and undergraduate coursework (e.g., abnormal psychology, behavior modification); conducting scholarly research and publishing; advising graduate and undergraduate students; and guiding graduate research as well as serving on graduate research committees (i.e., thesis and dissertation committees). Additional responsibilities include serving on program, department, college, or university committees, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
All applicants must have an earned doctorate in clinical psychology or a related field by the posted start date. Candidates should be licensed or license eligible as a Licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Additional requirements for each rank are below.
Assistant Professor: Candidate is expected to demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and have an active and productive program of scholarly research.
Associate Professor: Candidate must have 6+ years experience in higher education, demonstrate excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, evidence of sustained scholarly activity including publications and presentations, and a record of service to the institution and profession.
Full Professor: Candidate must have earned tenure at another institution, have 12+ years experience in higher education, demonstrate excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, evidence of sustained scholarly activity including publications and presentations, and a record of service to the institution and profession.
