Full job description

Description We are looking for an Immigration Analyst to join a law firm team in Troy, Michigan in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position supports employment-based immigration case work by preparing filings, organizing case materials, and keeping matters moving forward on schedule. The role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to grow within a legal environment, and comfortable managing information with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare immigration applications and petition packages for submission to the appropriate government agencies, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

  • Gather, organize, and maintain supporting records and evidence so case files remain orderly and audit-ready.

  • Track case activity and provide timely progress updates to clients, managers, and senior team members.

  • Enter and maintain client and matter information in the case management system with a high level of precision.

  • Review and summarize large volumes of information to support reporting needs and internal case handling.

  • Monitor assigned deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate concerns or delays to the supervisor as needed.

  • Develop familiarity with immigration matter types, firm procedures, and client-specific requirements to support effective case execution.

  • Contribute to team priorities with flexibility, responsiveness, and a willingness to take direction on new assignments. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or Paralegal Certification.

  • Prior exposure to a law firm or boutique legal environment is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed documentation and multiple active matters.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Comfort learning legal processes, case categories, and client-specific procedures.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in administrative or case-related work.
