Position Description:

The Laboratory of Dr. Zhao-Hui (Joe) Song Zhao-hui Song, PhD — School of Medicine University of Louisville has an open Temporary Research Assistant position at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Medicine. The person hired for the position will assist in pharmacological experiments studying the mechanisms of actions and potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids and other drugs. This is a part time position scheduled to work 30 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Assist in ordering lab supplies and maintain lab operations.

•Assist in experiments using both cell culture and animal models, assist in collecting data and perform routine data analysis under the supervision of principal investigator.

•Assist in search of scientific literature, assist in preparing protocols/proposals for experiments, and assisting in preparing manuscripts for publications.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or neuroscience and relevant lab experience.

Competencies

Organized – manages time effectively, keeps tasks appropriately prioritized.

Teamwork – ability to work with others.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
