About WIN Reality, LLC WIN Reality is changing how baseball and softball players across the world train to get better. Our team is full of world class developers changing the VR landscape, former professional ballplayers dedicated to improving the way the game is played, and people passionate about creating a one of a kind experience. We’re always looking for talented people to join our team, and to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Description Department: Product Reports To: CEO Location: Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA About the Role The VP of Product owns the vision and execution of WIN’s products — from Smart Parks and Blast Motion to TrainVR and the apps and platforms that connect them. WIN serves both businesses (teams, facilities, leagues, and organizations) and consumers (players and parents), and this role owns how every surface delivers for each. This is a player-coach role. You’ll directly own multiple product surfaces and work hands-on to execute the product vision, while leading three product managers — one per major surface or product SKU. The best product decisions at WIN start in the field. This role spends significant time with customers — at the ballpark, in training facilities, and with coaches, players, and parents — and then works hand in hand with design and engineering leadership to turn what they learn into product. Success is measured by products customers love and that drive WIN’s growth. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy
- Translate the company vision into a clear product strategy and roadmap across every surface.
- Prioritize across B2B and direct-to-consumer, and across hardware and software.
- Define how WIN’s products work together as one connected ecosystem for athletes and organizations.
Customer Field Work
- Spend significant time with customers in the field: on the field, in facilities, in the dugout, and with organizational buyers.
- Build a system of continuous discovery so the whole team hears directly from customers.
- Pair field insight with usage data and analytics to make better decisions.
Hands-On Execution
- Act as the hands-on product owner for multiple surfaces: write specs, make the calls, and unblock the team.
- Partner with the Director of Engineering and design leadership to deliver the roadmap on time and at quality.
- Define success metrics for every launch and hold the team accountable to them.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and grow three product managers, each owning a major surface or product SKU.
- Raise the bar on product craft, customer empathy, and decision-making across the team.
Team & Structure
- Three direct reports: product managers, one per major surface or product SKU.
- Close partners: Director of Engineering, design leadership, marketing, sales, and operations.
- Reports directly to the CEO.
Who You Are
- You’re a player-coach. You lead a team and still own product surfaces yourself. You’re as comfortable writing a spec as coaching a PM.
- You do the field work. You’d rather be at the ballpark with a coach than read a survey summary. You believe product truth lives with the customer.
- You’ve built for businesses and consumers. You understand both the organizational buyer and the end user, and how to serve both without compromising either.
- You’ve scaled products at high-growth brands. You’ve been there as products and teams grew fast, and you know what changes along the way.
- You know the game. You played baseball at a high level, and you understand the athletes, coaches, and families we serve from the inside.
- You partner, you don’t hand off. You work side by side with design and engineering from discovery through launch.
- You hold a high bar and tell the truth. You make clear calls, say what’s working and what isn’t, and own the outcome.
How Success Is Measured
- Primary KPI: Adoption, engagement, and retention across WIN’s product surfaces.
- Business impact: Revenue growth across B2B and direct-to-consumer product lines.
- Delivery: Roadmap shipped on plan, in partnership with engineering and design.
- Customer: Customer satisfaction and NPS across segments.
- Team: Performance and growth of the product management team.
Qualifications Required
- 10+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years leading product managers, at high-growth brands.
- Experience building products for both B2B and direct-to-consumer businesses.
- Track record shipping products customers love and that drive measurable business results.
- Played baseball at a high level (for example, collegiate or professional).
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Austin or Los Angeles.
Preferred
- Experience with connected products that combine hardware and software.
- Background in sports technology, fitness, or youth sports.
- Experience with data products or AI and computer vision features.
- Experience with subscription businesses.
