I. Job Summary
Under management's direction, the Hospital Services Swing worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange waste containers for various WMHS programs. This includes, but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. Fills in for other Team Members who are on vacation, sick, leave, etc. Assists Supervisor, as needed, covers schedules and locations, which may vary based on coverage required.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary back up for Hospital Services Technicians. Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various WMHS programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Shredding. Installs product, resurvey accounts and assists Supervisor in asset/inventory management.

Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded. May travel to customers in assigned area to proactively resolve customer service questions and issues.

Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule. May assist with installs as required.

Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.

Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds

This position requires on-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers, and

2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations or preferred education requirement

☒ Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing—in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Start Time: 4am
Monday - Friday
Multiple Hospital throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC.
Parking Reimbursed
Mileage Reimbursed. Certain Conditions apply.
Schedule subject to change to meet customer needs.
VI. Pay
The expected base pay range for this on-site]position is 24.00 . This range represents
a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced
by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications,
qualifications, and work location.
