Full job description
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) proactively organizes and builds the Universitys security culture, attitude, and environment to advance mission and priorities.The CSO oversees the UT Austin University of Texas Police Department and Office of Emergency Management, two high-performing and mission-critical units. The CSO will also build and oversee strategic security infrastructure planning functions in coordination with other university leaders.A member of the Presidents cabinet, the CSO will actively collaborate with leaders across the University and University System, coordinating resources and managing the effective implementation of security strategy.As a leader of leaders, the CSO serves in a non-commissioned position with experience and credentials to oversee law enforcement, emergency management, security intelligence, security infrastructure and crisis management.
