For more than 112 years, Rosalind Candy Castle has been a family-owned business and a beloved Beaver County tradition. As Beaver County's oldest candy store, we have proudly provided high-quality confections to the tri-state area since 1914. We use only the finest, freshest ingredients and make our candy centers from scratch. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Full-Time Assistant Candy Maker to join our production team and help create the chocolates and confections our customers have enjoyed for generations. ### About the Position The Assistant Candy Maker is an important part of our production team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that involves candy making, operating production equipment, packaging, sorting, inspecting, counting, and documenting products. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well as part of a team, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing a consistent, high-quality product. Food service, baking, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. ### Responsibilities 1. Assist with preparing and making chocolates and other confections 2. Operate candy-making and production machinery 3. Follow written recipes, procedures, and verbal instructions 4. Pack, sort, count, label, and inspect finished products 5. Maintain accurate product counts and production documentation 6. Monitor products for quality, consistency, and appearance 7. Keep work areas, equipment, and production spaces clean and organized 8. Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy 9. Assist other members of the production team as needed ### What We're Looking For 1. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance 2. Ability to follow written and verbal directions 3. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division 4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy 5. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 6. Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team 7. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and remain on your feet throughout the workday 8. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds ### Physical Requirements This is an active production position. Candidates should be comfortable: 1. Standing and working for most of the day 2. Performing repetitive tasks 3. Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds 4. Working efficiently during busy production periods 5. Operating machinery and other production equipment ### Schedule Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-3:30 PM Longer hours may be required during the weeks leading up to major holidays.
