About the Role:

Join CBRE as a Lab Instrument Services Senior Instrument Coordinator and play a vital role in supporting a leading life sciences client where innovation, research, and operational excellence drive meaningful discoveries. In this position, you will serve as a key liaison between laboratory teams, service providers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring laboratory instruments remain operational, compliant, and available to support critical scientific work. Working a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, you will enjoy a consistent work week while contributing to an environment at the forefront of scientific advancement.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all laboratory instruments within the assigned scope to ensure maximum uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple laboratory groups, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of customer service.

  • Manage and track third-party vendor maintenance activities, including scheduling, site access coordination, and service completion verification.

  • Conduct quarterly laboratory instrument inventories to maintain accurate asset records and support compliance initiatives.

  • Monitor instrument maintenance schedules and service records to ensure all work is completed on time and properly documented.

  • Follow up with vendors on open service requests, corrective maintenance activities, quotations, and service reports to ensure timely resolution.

  • Partner with laboratory personnel, facilities teams, and service providers to minimize equipment downtime and support critical research activities.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all third-party contractors. Ensure that they have a valid EHS and GMP induction, a thorough risk assessment, and an official method statement and permit before work begins.

  • Ensure customer requirements are met based on a review of GxP pipette or similar instrument certificates and test records provided by the third-party service providers.

  • Perform daily equipment preparation and setup.

  • Prepare quality control standards and perform checks on instruments. Replenish solvents used with laboratory equipment, as needed.

  • Assist in audit preparation and review documentation for inspection and audit purposes.

  • Prepare the mobile-phase solutions used in conjunction with experiments conducted on laboratory equipment.

  • Oversee training department personnel for the review of GxP pipette or similar certificates and test reports.

  • Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

  • Verify that invoices are processed for payment to a third party for pipettes.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.

  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.

  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.

  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.

  • General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. or complicated information within the team.
