Full job description
Description We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support a Trust & Estates practice in Missouri. This role focuses on preparing and organizing documents related to estate planning, probate matters, and estate administration while helping attorneys keep matters moving efficiently. The ideal candidate brings prior legal support experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with care.
Responsibilities:

Prepare, format, and revise legal documents related to wills, trusts, probate filings, and estate administration matters.

Coordinate case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure documents are properly organized for attorney review and court submission.

Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties in a thorough and organized manner to gather information, provide updates, and support ongoing matters.

Assist attorneys with probate and estate administration processes by tracking deadlines, assembling required materials, and monitoring progress.

Support the preparation of estate planning documents and related correspondence with close attention to detail and accuracy.

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and help prioritize time-sensitive tasks across multiple active files.

Conduct basic factual and document research related to trusts, estates, Medicaid matters, and probate procedures as needed. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in a legal assistant role, preferably within trusts and estates or estate planning.

Working knowledge of wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration procedures.

Familiarity with Medicaid-related documentation and support tasks is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and legal stakeholders.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters with a high level of accuracy.

Proficiency in preparing legal documents, maintaining files, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
