Position / Title: MTSS Interventionist Bargaining Unit: NON-UNIONDepartment/Location: Curriculum & Instruction/MTSS Calendar Days: 184Reports To: Building Principal JD Revision Date: 09/20/2018Supervises: N/A
Function / Position Summary To provide additional support to students who are in need of assistance in reaching their academic and/or social-emotional goals. These are students identified as in need of Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 support. The interventionist will deliver instruction to groups of students using district approved research-based interventions with fidelity. Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Progress monitors student growth by means of administering the appropriate district approved progress monitoring tools and/or utilizing the DPR card according to the established district data rules.
- Coordinates a schedule with the principal and other staff to provide services to the identified students.
- Delivers explicit, scientifically based instruction utilizing the district approved interventions to small groups of students incorporating a growth mindset.
- Maintains and submits required (pre and post) class profile data on individual student growth and records/disseminates data accordingly for interim reports, report cards, Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Data Review or Tier 2/3 Team meetings and/or other purposes as deemed necessary by the district.
- Collaborates and communicates student progress with building administration and colleagues as necessary including reports to the Service Team when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Professional Educator's License (PEL)
- Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred.
Experience / Knowledge
- Familiar with MTSS process and Tiered Instruction.
- Knowledge of and experience with U-46 curriculum and identified interventions to ensure fidelity of implementation.
- Able to administer progress monitoring tools as deemed necessary.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to meet the demands of additional teaching and coaching.
- Must be able to work in front of a computer monitor for multiple hours at a time.

Terms of Employment
- District-sponsored professional learning sessions will occur at Education Service Center or Welcome Center.
- Coach-led professional learning sessions and coaching will occur at each coach's respective school.
- The hourly rate for this role is $33.53/hr.
