We are seeking a Global Product Manager, Coronary Physiology to join the Global Strategic Marketing team within Abbott's Vascular business, based in Santa Clara, CA.

This is a fully onsite, individual contributor role with significant global visibility and influence.

Our Vascular business develops innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease.

Within Vascular, the Imaging & Physiology franchise is a cornerstone of the business, generating approximately $500M in annual revenue and serving as a strategic growth platform for Abbott's portfolio of complex cardiovascular solutions. By combining advanced imaging, physiological assessment, software innovation, and digital technologies, the franchise enables physicians to optimize diagnosis and treatment decisions for patients with coronary artery disease.

Coronary Physiology sits at the intersection of medical devices, software, data analytics, and AI-enabled decision support.

As Global Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading a strategic segment of Abbott's Coronary Physiology portfolio , driving product performance, commercial execution, and market development on a global scale. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of physiology-guided care at a time when data-driven decision making, AI-enabled technologies, workflow optimization, and integrated digital solutions are transforming cardiovascular interventions worldwide.

You will lead a strategic portion of Abbott's Coronary Physiology portfolio which includes software, capital equipment, and medical disposables while identifying and evaluating growth opportunities across customer segments, geographic markets, reimbursement initiatives, and market development programs.

You will own the downstream product lifecycle from commercialization through end-of-life management, developing and executing global marketing strategies that drive adoption, utilization, and sustainable growth. Success in this role requires the ability to translate customer insights into actionable business strategies, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and partner closely with regional marketing teams to deliver differentiated customer value across diverse healthcare markets.

This highly visible position requires a strong foundation in downstream marketing, commercialization strategy, market development, product lifecycle management, and global go-to-market execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess the strategic thinking, leadership, and executional excellence needed to accelerate growth within one of Abbott's most important cardiovascular franchises.

This role provides an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while building broad commercial leadership experience across a global business poised for continued innovation and growth.

While this role has no direct reports, it requires significant leadership through influence across regional marketing, commercial, clinical, R&D, regulatory, reimbursement, and executive stakeholders. This role also includes responsibility for collaborating with strategic external technology and manufacturing partners that contribute to Abbott's Coronary Physiology portfolio.

This portfolio also presents the unique ability to partner with Upstream Marketing, Digital, R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams to shape software-enabled solutions that improve customer workflow, clinical decision making, and economic value.

What You'll Work On

Portfolio Strategy & Commercial Execution

  • Own and execute global downstream marketing strategies to drive adoption, utilization, and commercial growth of Abbott's Coronary Physiology portfolio worldwide.

  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns, communication plans, and product messaging that differentiate Abbott’s technologies in competitive markets.

  • Coordinate with Advertising & Promotion and Clinical Affairs teams to ensure compliant, evidence-based claims and robust messaging strategies.

  • Partner with Marketing Communications to develop integrated messaging and promotional strategies that support global portfolio objectives.

  • Guide development and execution of integrated multi-channel marketing programs that support portfolio growth and customer engagement.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Lead product lifecycle initiatives, including analyzing product performance, managing product improvements, and guiding products from commercialization through end-of-life.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure LCM plans are on-track and flawlessly executed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify product candidates for life cycle management and develop robust business cases to support strategic decision-making and execution.

  • Lead collaboration with strategic third-party manufacturers and technology partners to align portfolio strategy, commercialization initiatives, product roadmaps, and lifecycle management activities across Abbott's Coronary Physiology portfolio.

Global Commercial Excellence

  • Collaborate closely with regional marketing teams to ensure global alignment on strategies, messaging, and tools.

  • Support field sales with sales enablement tools, training content, customer-facing assets, and key conference deliverables.

  • Coordinate with Commercial Excellence to evaluate business performance, market share trends, and growth opportunities, adjusting strategies and tactics as appropriate.

  • Participate in and support regional customer engagements, meetings, and major industry congresses to drive adoption and commercial execution.

  • Support development of health economic and value-based messaging that demonstrates the clinical and economic benefits of physiology-guided decision making.

Customer Engagement & Market Insights

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physician advisors, and customers to gather market insights and support adoption initiatives.

  • Lead customer engagement activities including field visits, advisory boards, and participation in major international congresses and symposia.

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, inform commercial strategy, and strengthen product differentiation.

Business Planning & Operations

  • Partner with Demand Planning and regional stakeholders to develop accurate forecasts and support inventory planning.

  • Manage portfolio marketing budgets, track ROI, and ensure effective allocation of resources against strategic priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelors Degree Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or marketing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product management or marketing experience within the medical device, diagnostics, healthcare technology, or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, physician customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a complex matrix organization.

  • Previous experience in a global role or working with international teams is strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience in selling or marketing software and capital equipment in the healthcare space.

  • Experience in cardiovascular medical devices, imaging, physiology, software-enabled healthcare solutions, or related interventional cardiology markets preferred.

  • Proven track record of successful project management and simultaneous execution of multiple projects.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating complex data into strategic recommendations and business decisions.

  • Experience developing business cases and portfolio strategies.

  • Experience building executive-level recommendations from complex market data.

  • Ability to develop deep technical and clinical expertise and serve as a trusted resource for commercial teams and customers.

  • Willing to travel 30%.

The base pay for this position is $114,000.00 – $228,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
