What You Will Do The primary purpose of the Admission Coordinator is to inform prospective students and their families of educational opportunities available to them at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville by: advising and counseling prospective students and their families concerning the Admissions and application process; interacting with counselors, faculty and administrators; making public presentations; representing the University at college day/night programs at high schools, colleges and college fairs; assuming responsibility for and assisting with special projects. The Admission Coordinator serves both prospective students and the University community. Outreach efforts are focused on increasing enrollment by attracting academically strong students from diverse backgrounds who value citizenship and integrity. Coordinators recruit and manage a recruitment territory that is assigned to them. This position oversees and manages critical projects including human resource management (students) that allows us to meet our enrollment goals and brings in millions of dollars of revenue in the form of tuition, fees, and room and board.
