Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Test Engineer level 1 to work with a team of engineers with the Test and Evaluation Department that will be performing lab duties and performing tests by following procedures to ensure product capability.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test and Evaluation Engineering department, Advanced Weapons division. This role is 100% on site at our Northridge, Ca site with no remote or hybrid opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:

Working with facilities for any issues pertaining to the lab environment
-
Working with the engineers to understand needs for benches and equipment
-
Working with the Metrology department to ensure calibration is up to date on equipment.

Perform tests using Acceptance Test Procedures

Support team with making process improvements

Communicate between different members of the team to move product and get past any obstacles
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 0 years of experience

Understanding of Excel and MS office
-
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
-
Ability to obtain an Active government issued Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active government issued Secret clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
