Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Job Description

Superior Energy Services is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support and maintain its Microsoft cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role will focus primarily on Azure administration, cloud operations, Microsoft 365 technologies, identity management, endpoint management, security, and automation while partnering with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking, security groups, and cloud services.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration management, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Assist with Microsoft Purview compliance and data governance initiatives.
• Monitor cloud and hybrid environments, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and participate in on-call support.
• Support cloud migrations, system upgrades, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Create technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of systems administration, infrastructure, endpoint management, or cloud support experience.
• 1+ year of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies such as Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, or Teams.
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and cloud operations.
• Experience administering Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
• PowerShell scripting experience for administration and automation tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Azure, Endpoint Administrator, or Identity & Access certifications.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-site environments.
• Experience with Azure networking, Purview, Intune MDM/MAM, Terraform, or cloud migration projects.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices.
