The Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science provides a top-ranked engineering and computer science education in upstate New York. We are seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator, who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the CATALYST-ES Scholarship Program, in coordination with the NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate NY.
Key Responsibilities:

Liaises with the NSF Energy Storage Engine in Upstate NY and the Griffiss Institute

Develops and maintains relationships with participating companies

Coordinate and promote CATALYST-ES program with coalition partners

Coordinates efforts with faculty and student mentors

Secures internship opportunities for students in collaboration with project team and partners

Assists with student applications, advising, and internship placement

Serves as the main point of contact for student participants

Coordinates community outreach efforts with coalition partners

Plans and coordinates CATALYST-ES-related events

Tracks budget expenses and completes necessary expense paperwork

Responsible for compiling and presenting regular reports to sponsors and others as needed

Coordinates with media relations teams at Binghamton University and partners
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, technology, social sciences, humanities, business administration, or a related field required.

Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, including program planning, budget management, and operational oversight.

Demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting student services and programs within a college or university environment.

Proficiency in standard productivity and communications software, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and related applications.

Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and media relations personnel.

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences both on and off campus.

Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare clear, comprehensive reports and recommendations.

Proficiency in operating computer systems and maintaining accurate electronic and hard-copy records.

Occasional travel and attendance at off-site meetings, events, and professional activities may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering, sciences, technology, social sciences, humanities, administration or a related area.
Additional Information:
Salary: $65,000 annually. Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
