Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Deforest, Wisconsin Branch. Job Summary: Ensure safe and effective processing of prescription and non-prescription medications and devices by properly labeling and packaging products for delivery to individuals via common courier under the direction of the Pharmacist on Duty. Manage inventory by maintaining and organizing stock. Essential Job Functions: Accurately fill prescriptions and transcribe patient data into pharmacy software to generate labels for placement on product. Prepare product for shipment. Provide customer service to veterinarians, pet owners, and sales representatives. Manage filling of paperwork such as invoices and prescriptions. Complete other duties, assignments and special projects as requested by Pharmacist on Duty. Organizational Competencies: Must be able to perform job responsibilities in a professional manner, consistent with the needs of our internal and external customers and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and manuals. Maintain a good work ethic while taking intentional steps toward the fiscal health of JAT Pharmacy, LLC. Job Requirements & Qualifications: Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily Must meet the requirements as defined in the Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy regulations A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required No experience required. One year of pharmacy technician or other customer order fulfillment experience is desired but not required. CPhT certification preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals Basic computer skills, ability to operate a Windows-based computer and data entry Ability to differentiate details related to product codes and descriptions (such as verifying a string of numbers) Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
