How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Sr Account Manager reports directly to the District Sales Manager and is responsible for maximizing cargo revenues and market share. This is achieved by generating new and promoting existing sales programs with freight forwarders and other types of accounts within a designated account portfolio. Sr Account Managers manage their assigned sales territory primarily through in-person sales calls, working from a Sales Office.

PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities

  • Account Managersare required to plan their sales activities in conjunction with currentsales strategies and rational analysis of account and market data.

  • Drive revenuegrowth, market share expansion, and profitability across an assignedportfolio of cargo accounts

  • In addition tolocal/regional account assignments, the Sr Account Manager is alsoassigned national accounts to develop relationships and opportunities. Inaddition to work closely with their headquarters points of contact.

  • The AccountManager is required to submit timely sales plans and activity reports totheir manager to support the overall objectives for the position,territory and market.

  • Identify,pursue, and secure new business opportunities while building a robustsales pipeline to support future revenue growth while utilizing andmaintaining sales force CRM tools.

  • Accountable formeeting or exceeding measurable key performance indicator goals.

  • Deepen customerrelationships by implementing strategic and tactical initiatives thatenhance customer engagement, improve contract performance, and elevateDelta Cargo's brand presence within the marketplace.

  • Serve as theprimary commercial contact for assigned customers, ensuring timely issueresolution and a consistently high level of service.

  • Practices safetyconscious behaviors in all processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Minimum of 2+ years of cargo sales and account management experience is required.

  • Should possess a strong orientation towards sales and understand how to create and maintain profitable business relationships with assigned accounts.

  • Requires interpersonal, analytical, project management and business decision making skills.

  • Experience in the following computer applications is required: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication is required.

  • Must be available to work additional hours and/or days as needed.

  • Required to make over-night business travel to cities which may be outside of the assigned territory.

  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Should possess an overall knowledge of company procedures and policies.

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

  • A college level educationor 3-5 years related cargo sales experience.

Pay Range: $69400.00-$187400.00 annually
