Pre-Commissioning Manager

Conco Services is looking for a Pre-Commissioning Manager for our La Porte, TX location.

The Pre-Commissioning Manager is responsible for providing technical, engineering, estimating, and operational support for specialty engineered services, with a primary focus on Chemical Cleaning, Steam Blow, and related reliability and pre-commissioning services. This position serves as a key technical resource for the Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Field Services teams and is involved throughout the project lifecycle, from initial opportunity development and estimating through project execution and closeout. The Reliability Services Engineer will perform field job walks for Chemical Cleaning and Steam Blow, and Oil Flushing opportunities to evaluate project requirements, review system configurations, P&IDs, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation, and assist SAMs with developing accurate and competitive project quotes and bids.

The Pre-Commissioning Manager is also responsible for developing and reviewing engineering procedures, work plans, drawings, flow diagrams, calculations, and other technical documentation necessary to safely and effectively execute projects. The position will provide ongoing engineering and operational support to the Field Services team, assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges in the field, and work closely with customers, contractors, engineers, project managers, supervisors, and internal personnel to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and successfully executed. The Reliability Services Engineer may also be responsible for managing and running projects assigned, including project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, field support, customer communication, documentation, and project closeout. The position is expected to apply sound engineering principles and practical field experience to develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions while supporting overall project profitability and operational success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed engineered job estimates/proposals per the direction of the Chem-Clean Services Director.

  • Work with third parties to gather cost to support quote generation.

  • Enter customer and job-related data into NetSuite CRM software systems.

  • Maintain Tracking and SME related items request document.

  • Communicate daily with Senior Account Manager’s and Inside Sales

  • Provide account management support to Sales team, customers, operations, and internal department.

  • Job Reporting.

  • Estimate lubrication-based jobs for manpower, equipment, materials, and timeframe.

  • Ability to write lube oil service procedures, including marking flow path on PIDs.

  • Work with vendors to gather pricing for input into quotes.

  • Additional duties to support Conco Services as required.

  • Participate in team safety meetings and cross-functional planning sessions.

  • Online/remote safety training as required.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Travel 50%

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years' experience in Steam & Air Blow Services.

  • 10+ years' experience in Chemical Cleaning Services.

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) and 5+ years Project management in field services, Engineering degree highly preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office with a strong emphasis on MS Office and NetSuite CRM software.

  • Equivalent combination of experience and training provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Must be authorized to work within the United States.
