Summary As a Surgical Technologist at Total Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams during orthopedic procedures. This position is essential for ensuring patient safety and the smooth operation of the surgical environment. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and other medical staff by passing instruments and supplies during operations. Ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning prior to surgery. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team. Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and instruments used. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols at all times. Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures. Experience in patient care within an orthopedic or surgical setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to surgery and anatomy is essential. Ability to monitor vital signs and respond appropriately in a clinical setting. Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with surgical teams.
