Job Description:
We are seeking an Sr Assoc, Material Management (MM) in Supply Chain for our Melbourne, Florida location to support program schedules by managing raw material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control activities in an AS9100/ITAR-regulated environment. This role involves managing multi-departmental relationships and contributing to supply chain performance within a dynamic, fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will possess strong material planning experience, ERP proficiency and a background in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
Essential Functions:

Supports the end-to-end material planning lifecycle including demand forecasting, inventory management, material requisitioning, Depot & Program related rework activities.

Supports compliance efforts ensuring material management activities adhere to AS9100, ITAR, and other applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Identifies and assesses material availability risks including shortages, lead time constraints, and supply disruptions, supporting the development of mitigation strategies to protect program schedules.

Monitors and analyze material planning performance through metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions to drive inventory optimization and schedule adherence.

Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material management processes, planning efficiency, and overall supply chain effectiveness.

Resolves material discrepancies including rejections, losses and engineering changes in coordination with Procurement and internal stakeholders.

Coordinates with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, finance, operations, and program management to support material availability and program objectives.

Maintains strong internal program management and multi-departmental relationships that foster a collaborative and trust-based working culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree or minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualificartions:

Strong analytical mindset with experience in material planning & inventory analysis and demand forecasting.

Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing industries

Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple programs.

Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
