You Will

  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve clinical training programs for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across assigned operational areas.

  • Lead new pharmacist onboarding including competency-based check-ins, hands-on skill verification, and 30/60/90 day progress reviews.

  • Maintain floor presence across assigned departments to identify training gaps, monitor compliance, and support pharmacy staff.

  • Conduct in-process observations and audit-ready spot checks to ensure ongoing adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Compliance to review CAPA entries, identify training-related root causes, and deliver targeted remediation.

  • Contribute to the development and review of SOPs and competency assessments, ensuring training content reflects current procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Own Pharmacy Technician Training Program compliance in alignment with applicable state regulatory requirements.

  • Support regulatory inspections and audits by preparing training documentation and providing evidence of compliance.

  • Monitor pharmacist licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements across supported sites, escalating gaps as needed.

  • Document all training activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Leadership, the Learning team, and cross-functional partners to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions.

  • Participate in the pharmacist interview process and support operational and pharmacy needs as required.

You Have

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.

  • 3+ years of experience as a practicing pharmacist, preferably in pharmacy operations, mail-order, telehealth, or compounding environments.

  • Experience in training, teaching, precepting, or clinical education in a pharmacy setting.

  • Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations including FDA and USP standards.

  • Experience developing training programs, SOPs, and competency assessments for pharmacy personnel.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Quality Assurance and Compliance on CAPA, deviation management, and audit preparation.

  • Strong documentation skills with familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with learners at all levels.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and patient safety.

  • Experience with LMS platforms for training assignment, tracking, and reporting.

  • Flexibility to work day or night shifts and travel between sites as needed to support network pharmacy operations.

  • Strong knowledge of USP <797>, <795>, and <800> standards and cGMP regulations as they relate to training and compliance.
