Laboratory Coordinator MT - MLS

Full time - Pathology Coordinator

The Laboratory Coordinator oversees all laboratory and pathology department operations by coordinating workflow, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, managing staff performance and development, supervising daily operations, budgeting, inventory and purchasing, troubleshooting technical and personnel issues, and maintaining accurate, high-quality patient testing and services.

Job Duties

Oversees testing in assigned area

Updates procedure manuals annually

Ensures proper staffing

Prepares employee schedule for assigned area

Orders and receives supplies and maintains necessary inventory for assigned area

Provides oversight for compliance with policies and procedures

Oversees compliance with all safety protocols and practices

Trains and reviews employees regularly for accountability

Requirements

Bachelor degree is required

Certification as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), CLS(NCA), or equivalent is required

Four years job related experience is required

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science - MT/MLS is preferred.
