Summary: Under general supervision, sets up equipment and insures the production of quality parts. Inspects parts and adjusts the equipment as required for an efficient operation.

Safety is #1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) Strictly follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Visualizes and interprets blue prints and sketches.

  • Analyzes, trouble shoots and resolves problems with equipment in production area.

  • Adjusts accordingly to changing production requirements.

  • Verify all necessary paperwork, prints, patterns or check fixtures are present for part being set up. Must verify that all are to current revision level.

  • Manufacture and inspects parts to blue prints and/or sketches using a Manufacturing Print as reference.

  • Displays ability to set-up and operate all types and sizes of equipment in the production area in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ability and willingness to assist with the training of operators as required.

  • Ensures setup and production processes are being followed.

  • Ensures appropriate exchange of information at shift and/or operator change.

  • Ensures safe setups and operations in area.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC 6 $21.53 - $30.15 hourly. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
