General Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Student Affairs, Psychology or in a related field. Two years of experience in higher education, academic support, student services, or related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Performs moderately complex administrative and supervisory program work supporting the implementation and daily operations of the Academic Recovery program.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Oversees the work of assigned program staff, including academic recovery coaches. Supervises and directs student staff in daily program activities, scheduling, and student engagement. Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities and student engagement metrics. Confers with staff on program issues and problems and recommends solutions. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates academic recovery program logistics and operations including course scheduling/coach assignment, facility coordination, and student referral processes. Manages scheduling and training for student staff to ensure consistent program delivery. Supports course facilitation by coordinating instructor needs and student support services. Recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations related to program operations. Develops and assesses program activities to identify operational improvements and barriers to student success. Gathers and organizes program data including attendance, student outcomes, and engagement information to support program evaluation. Coordinates partnerships with academic departments, advising services, and other campus units to facilitate student referrals and integrated support. Interprets policies, rules, and regulations and ensures they are followed by program staff and students. Performs other related duties as assigned.
