Req # 5738 Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech CVOR Full-Time (On Call Required) Job Summary: Responsible for setting up sterile supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to the physicians' preference cards and assisting the physician during procedures. Must be on site within 30 minutes of call. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certification/Licensure Requirements: Surgical scrub technician certification is required. Experience: Two years operating room experience preferred. Language/Communication Skills: English required. Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional. Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning capabilities whenever necessary when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff. Critical thinking and multitasking skills a must. Must have reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do. Must possess purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based.
