Job Duties:

The CSS Interstate Child Support Coordinator assist in researching the Discrepancy, Research, and Automation (DRA) unit for all 46 counties in South Carolina; assists in administering and directing the Interstate Central Registry (ICR) Unit for all 46 counties in South Carolina and working with intergovernmental agencies of all 50 states, territories, and other nations.

Reviews all incoming intergovernmental child support petitions from all in 50 state, territories and other nations received under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA) requesting paternity and establishment of child support orders or enforcement of existing child support orders for accuracy and ensures petition meets all established document requirements; maintains data consistency throughout all processing of cases.

Interprets federal and state regulations and child support policy and procedures to ensure that all Intergovernmental child support petitions and correspondence receive appropriate and timely action; communicates effectively and in a timely manner with other intergovernmental agencies.

Assists in developing, managing, and implementing all policies or changes that pertain to the DRA unit and ICR unit; develops short- and long-range goals and objectives; supervises personnel in the performance of their duties; monitors and keeps track of appropriate performance measures.

Conducts meetings and training sessions with ICR unit and DRA unit staff when needed or appropriate; assists in on-boarding and training of new staff; updates staff on changes in systems, policies, and procedures in a timely manner. Responsible for completing comprehensive yearly performance evaluations for each employee and ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.

Assists in ongoing training and refinement of the Palmetto Automated Child Support System (PACSS); attends meetings and UIFSA appointments with customers, other departments, divisions, and agencies.

Maintains and control all FIPS code changes and updates address changes for all 50 states. territories and other nations.

To ensure that personal identifying information (PII} is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.

Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed. Performs related duties as required.
A High School Diploma and four (4) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, child support services, correctional, business administration, or general business.
An Associate Degree and two (2) years of experience clerical, administrative, social work, child support services, correctional, business administration, or general business.
A Bachelor's Degree or higher may be substituted for required work experience.
