Summary As a Data Analyst, you will assist diverse stakeholders by leveraging data analytics tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, including managing the ongoing preparation, retrieval, and transfer of data. This position is in the General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Office of Portfolio Management. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities Acts as the center for establishing portfolio specific performance expectations (quantitative and qualitative) providing expert technical guidance through all phases of real property asset management assessing portfolio performance and recommending revisions where necessary and developing data models, tools, and strategies to meet the long-term objectives. Contributes to cross-functional efforts by developing data analyses, dashboards, and reports that inform strategic planning, performance tracking, and customer-related insights. Helps translate complex data into clear and actionable findings for non-technical stakeholders and produces meaningful visualizations to support decision-making processes. Performs data quality checks, identifying discrepancies, and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions. Provides hands-on support in retrieving, preparing, and transferring data required for ad hoc and ongoing analytical projects, ensuring that data use aligns with business requirements and best practices. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service. Serve a one year probationary period, if required. Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level). Qualifications To evaluate your qualifications, your resume must clearly demonstrate how you meet the specialized experience described below. Your resume must not exceed two pages. Education, certifications or licensures—If the job announcement requires any education, certifications or licensures, make sure to include the required information and any required documents like transcripts. Your resume should contain enough information to make a valid determination that you fully meet experience requirements for each grade level you are applying to. If you do not provide enough information for us to determine your qualifications, you may be rated ineligible. If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume. The GS-13 salary range starts at $108,173 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience providing strategic and tactical guidance related to portfolio management program areas, for real property asset management and all aspects of regional portfolio planning and metrics. This experience must include: Delivering analytical assistance for data initiatives by assisting with the design and optimization of methods and tools aligned with organizational objectives; Creating reports, dashboards, and data analyses that support stakeholders in decision-making processes; Partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts to help determine necessary data sources for analysis, as well as contributing to strategies for acquiring, integrating, and storing data; and Translating research and analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations while customizing communications for diverse stakeholder groups across varying technical levels.
