Responsibilities Performs data analytics functions to include the application development of analytics, measures, and metrics to help foster performance towards service targets, objectives, and goals to influence agency business decisions. Provides technical advice to staff in determining courses of action on various financial matters and identification of desirable financial management data and analysis appropriate for any given situation. Monitors and leads projects within the site; ensures effective and timely accomplishment of such projects; reviews and recommends approval or disapproval of project plans developed by Operating organizations/staff. Establishes and/or recommends milestones and ensures timely accomplishment of such projects while continuously monitoring the progress of projects. Develops recommendations involving substantive impact on policies, procedures, systems, and operations of site organizations and the agency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Evaluating and interpreting data extracts and reports from various systems assessing information validity and reliability; providing advice and recommendations for change to improve predictive analytics, data sampling, and data warehousing processes; producing analytical reports and identifying trends to support agency business decisions. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
