Job Summary
Help PERA Deliver Exceptional Service!
Join PERA's Document Management Services team and play a key role in ensuring member records, retirement applications, and refund requests are processed accurately, securely, and efficiently. As a lead support professional, you'll guide daily operations, provide direction to staff, safeguard sensitive information, and use data and technology to improve processes and drive results.
This position combines leadership, problem-solving, and operational expertise to support the systems and records that keep PERA running smoothly. Minimum Qualifications

Leadwork skills sufficient to assign, prioritize, guide, and direct the work activities of the Document Management Services unit to ensure workload demands, quality standards, and established deadlines are met.

External and internal customer service and support skills sufficient to respond to questions, provide guidance and technical assistance, and clearly, concisely, and professionally interpret and explain program policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to internal staff, teams, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of standard computer software programs sufficient to use applications such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, or Word to create, edit, manage, and share information and documents.
-
Document and records management skills sufficient to collect, maintain, protect, retrieve, retain, and dispose of records in accordance with established data management and security requirements.
-
Skill in using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, sufficient to enter, compile, store, retrieve, and report data to support business operations and decision-making.

Communication skills sufficient to establish, document, interpret policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and complex information to members, PERA staff, and stakeholders.
In addition, the applicant must possess a Class D Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business or Office Technology
-
Two (2) years’ experience in an advanced administrative support position in member refunds and retirement benefits applications

Experience with Mailroom procedures and processing
-
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences
