Full job description

Make an impact supporting the DOD (Department of Defense). Lynch Consultants is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst. In this role, you will deliver high-quality support in a wide range of financial and program management activities to a government agency while developing your expertise in federal financial management.

Only applicants who fully meet all required qualifications will be considered for further review.

Salary: $63,000/yr.

Work Location and Schedule:

  • Fully remote with availability to go on-site at Ft. Belvoir, if necessary.

Required Qualifications – Must Have:

  • MUST have a BA/BS.

  • MUST have 3+ years of Federal experience.

  • MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.

  • MUST be a U.S Citizen.

  • MUST have a strong understanding of DOD financial operation.

  • MUST have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting.

  • Experience with having knowledge with DAI system.

Job Duties:

  • Record and maintain financial obligations, invoices, reconciliations, and payment data in accounting systems.

  • Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, proper certification, and timely payment.

  • Maintain contract payment files, resolve discrepancies, and research payment or disbursement issues.

  • Analyze aged obligations along with accounts payable and receivable balances to support financial oversight.

  • Assist with customer order entry, provide financial information to internal and external stakeholders, and support audits.

  • Prepare and update standard operating procedures, internal controls, and coordinate with government accounting and contracting staff.
