SUE field technician

Apply Job Type Part-time Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Field Technician to join our team. This position will require utility research, and survey/utility locating-related duties and responsibilities in support of project deliverables. This position will primarily require field work and travel durations of 2+ weeks. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Field: Travel to perform private utility locating/SUE investigations and to support Survey field crews 2. Performs self and peer review QA/QC checks. 3. Coordinates with survey field crews and office staff. 4. Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service. 5. Leads by example -displays solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. 6. Drives innovation and efficiency in utility locating processes. 7. Handles multiple priorities and projects well. 8. Consistently demonstrates critical thinking skills. Required Experience: 1. Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills. 2. Knowledge of underground utility infrastructure and geophysical locating equipment (pipe & line locator, GPR, GPS, etc.). 3. Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other services. Preferred Experience 1. 5 years of utility locating experience. 2. Experience with ground penetrating radar (GPR). 3. Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff. 4. Understanding of survey field procedures and the operation of survey field equipment. 5. Preferred Equipment Experience 6. Trimble GPS & Total Station 7. Terrestrial Lidar (Trimble/Regal) 8.
