Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 9441 HEALTH CENTER DR City: LAND O LAKES State: Florida Postal Code: 34637 Job Description:

• Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintains patient records, and selects, assembles, checks, and operates respiratory equipment.
• Responds to various emergency codes, performing duties such as maintaining the airway, intubation, chest compressions, and ventilator setup.
• Determines requirements for treatment, including type, method, duration of therapy, precautions, and medication dosages compatible with providers' orders.
• Performs diagnostic testing per facility needs.
• Monitors patients' physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, consulting with providers if adverse reactions occur.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required]
• Additional languages preferred. [Preferred]
• Possess a broad Respiratory knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently [Required]
• Demonstrated supervisory skills [Required]
• Good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships [Required]

Education:

• Associate's in respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary science [Required]

Work Experience:

• 3+ years experience in a hospital as an RRT [Required]
• 1+ years of critical care experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.86 - $59.27 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
