Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AUTOMOTIVE), Position Description Number D2097000 and is part of the PA 201st RED HORSE Squadron Det 1, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement.

Duties

As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AUTOMOTIVE), GS-1152-09, you will you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly operational and maintenance plans for assigned general and special purpose vehicles and a variety of equipment. Performing analysis on a wide range of production indicators to assist in improving productivity or in determining causes of production delays. Managing the registered vehicle fleet for the Stock Record Account Number (SRAN). Managing the Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) program. Acting as the primary source of expertise for material control, to include ordering parts and equipment items through SBSS and tool inventory of tool crib and Composite Tool Kits (CTK's) annually. Conducting training for assigned military personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the 201 RHS Det 1 AOC 2: NG Employees in the 111th Attack Wing (This includes 111 ATKW, 270 EIS, PA ANG HQ Det 2) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes Traditional Airmen, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: ENLISTED E1 - E7 The supervisor for this position is Lt Col Richwine Manpower # 00863554 *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. REPROMOTION CONSIDERATION (Applies to technician applicants only.)Technicians who have been demoted from this or a higher grade previously held in the same occupational series without personal cause and who are not in a grade retention status will be given consideration for re-promotion. Technicians who believe they are entitled to such consideration should forward a description of the circumstances with their application. Technicians eligible for re-promotion will be considered prior to using competitive promotion procedures, except when another technician has a statutory or regulatory right to be placed in or considered for the position. In accordance with section 9902(h) of title 5, United States Code, annuitants reemployed in the Department of Defense shall receive full annuity and salary upon appointment. They shall not be eligible for retirement contributions, participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, or a supplemental or redetermined annuity for the employment period. Discontinued service retirement annuitants (i.e., retired under section 8336(d)(1) or 8414(b)(1)(A) of title 5 United States Code) appointed to the Department of Defense may elect to be subject to retirement provisions of the new appointment as appropriate.
