Sentara is hiring a Senior Athletic Trainer - Certified to work in Outreach with Portsmouth Public Schools

As a a Senior Athletic Trainer you will Prescribe and document therapeutic inventions and treatment plans with attending physicians. Adept in designing injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. - Travels with team.

Education

• Bachelor’s Level Degree in Athletic Training required

Certification/Licensure

• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) – Certification – Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) RQ

Experience

• One-year related experience required

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
