Job Description

Executive Director of Operations

Methodist Senior Services is seeking an experienced Executive Director (ED) to lead the day-to-day operations of our Independent Living Community. This position is responsible for ensuring the community operates safely, efficiently and in a manner that supports the quality of life of our Elders.

The ED will oversee overall community operations, facility and maintenance needs, staff management, budgeting, marketing, regulatory compliance and the overall welfare and safety of our Elders.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable managing people, operations and the business side of a residential community while building positive relationships with Elders, families, staff and the surrounding community.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of operations and supervisory experience in property management. Experience with HUD regulations and/or HUD-supported housing is preferred. A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a healthcare-related field, is also preferred.

Most importantly, we are looking for a leader who has a genuine passion for working with older adults, understands the importance of creating a welcoming and respectful community, and can balance strong operational management with compassionate leadership.

5 years experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study. At least three years experience in a supervisory capacity, with some experience in housing management, administration and/or social services; basic computer skills; must be able to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with all levels of the organization; experience with budget preparation , strategic planning and personal management preferred; experience in accepted accounting practices beneficial.
