Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a top pharmaceutical and life sciences client. This engineer will join a high-impact FinOps initiative focused on building cloud automation solutions that produce measurable enterprise cost savings. The primary project will be designing a multi-cloud instance scheduler hosted in AWS that manages resources across both AWS and Azure. The engineer will also support AWS Graviton migrations, infrastructure-as-code development, CI/CD deployments, cloud security, and operational automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on cloud engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with global teams, and connecting technical delivery to significant business outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in an enterprise production environment
  • Strong AWS engineering experience
  • Hands-on Terraform or AWS CloudFormation experience
  • Proficiency with Python, Bash, or a comparable scripting language
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows, testing, approvals, and production deployments
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, containerization, and cloud security
  • Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes
  • Ability to work onsite in Indianapolis three days per week
  • Availability for early-morning collaboration with a global team (7:00am)
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions in a complex enterprise environment
  • Ability to manage accelerated delivery timelines
  • Azure experience
  • Experience supporting multi-cloud AWS and Azure environments
  • Strong Terraform experience
  • AWS or Azure certifications
  • FinOps and cloud cost-optimization experience
  • Experience developing cloud instance schedulers or automated resource-management tools
  • AWS Graviton migration experience
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry
  • Knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, or SOX requirements
  • Experience working with globally distributed Agile teams
