Full job description

Description

Would you like to be part of a team focused on driving innovation in the transportation industry, while working to empower entrepreneurs, and contribute to Amazon's sustainability goals? If you have a passion for building scalable programs and helping people launch businesses, you may be just right for the Onboarding Sr. Program Manager role for Amazon Freight Partner. Amazon Freight Partner (freightpartner.amazon.com) is a program that enables entrepreneurs to start and grow their trucking business alongside Amazon, with exclusive training, ability to hire from their local communities, and long-term growth potential.

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager who will own the end-to-end onboarding experience that takes a new Amazon Freight Partner from offer acceptance to their first load on the road. This role coordinates across multiple internal, external vendors, and acts as a primary POC for onboarding partners to ensure partners are fully compliant, operationally ready, and confident before they begin the execution of hauling AFP freight.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the onboarding program design to define the partner journey from offer acceptance to first load, ensuring every step is sequenced, communicated, and achievable

  • Architect the cross-functional coordination model that ensures internal teams and external vendors know what to deliver, and with clear escalation paths when timelines slip

  • Lead resolution of complex blockers, particularly where regulatory, vendor, or policy dependencies create ambiguity

  • Continuously improve the program based on performance data to identify where partners stall, compress timelines, and redesign for scale

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to build technology that reduces manual effort and enables partners to self-navigate their activation journey

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors, or experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites

  • MBA, or Master's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • Experience navigating regulatory or compliance environments with external dependencies

  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance workflows, or customer experiences

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management industries
