Linekeeper
Location: Statesville, NC
Pay: $ 20.52/hr
Schedule: 2 nd shift 3pm – 11pm plus overtime
Position Summary:
The Linekeeper prepares and maintains armature, shaft, and automated machines, enabling team members to produce high-quality parts with minimal downtime and waste. This role directly supports compliance with quality and environmental policies.
Major Responsibilities:
-
Follow, understand, and train others on operator instructions for all machines in the area.
-
Effectively communicate process and product problems.
-
Perform machine and quality checks according to operator instructions.
-
Set up and change over machines, including die and material changes.
-
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
-
Maintain daily charts and uphold 5S standards.
-
Communicate well with team members and position associates to meet production requirements.
-
Support associates by providing necessary duties to fulfill Team Leader directives.
Minor Responsibilities:
-
Engage with internal departments to achieve production targets.
-
Participate in company activities including IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement.

Work with hazardous chemicals.
-
Requires shift work and overtime.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED (must fulfill NC State or Federal educational requirements).
-
Prefer 2 years manufacturing experience.
-
At least six months experience in a relevant manufacturing role preferred.
Key Competencies:
-
Ability to work on, set up, and maintain various processes and demonstrate proficiency.
-
Knowledge of the employee handbook and company philosophy.
-
Basic mechanical skills, ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
-
Working knowledge of metric system.
-
Proficient arithmetic skills for interpreting charts and graphs.
Physical Requirements:
-
Stand and move for 8-12 hours per day.
-
Lift and carry up to 35 lbs. frequently.
-
Bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach overhead.
-
Apply up to 66 lbs. push/pull force unassisted.
-
Steel toe shoes required
Additional Duties:
-
Monitor and control processes affecting quality and environmental impacts.
-
Follow all instructions for the assignment, and contribute suggestions for improvement.
-
Notify Management immediately of problems or non-conformances.
-
Record problems to ensure corrective and preventative action.
-
Assist in problem solving, containment, and process improvement activities.
-
Other duties as assigned.
