Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Chief Engineer that will be responsible for maintaining and improving critical facility infrastructure across a multi-building data center campus. This individual will lead day-to-day engineering operations, oversee vendors and contractors, manage a team of engineers, drive maintenance and change management programs, and ensure 100% uptime across the site. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical expertise with leadership experience in mission-critical environments.

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of building/facilities management experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS/ BMS)

  • 5+ years in a Data Center environment

  • Strong mechanical systems expertise including chillers, HVAC, UPS, electrical distribution, and critical infrastructure

  • Experience managing engineers/technicians and overseeing contractors/vendors

  • Experience writing and maintaining MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and change management documentation

  • Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical environments with uptime accountability

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, compliance, safety, and root cause analysis (RCA) High School Diploma/GED

  • Generator expertise

  • EPA Universal Certification (Section 608)

  • OSHA Certifications

  • Experience with Trane and York chillers

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Colocation data center experience Experience managing multiple buildings/campus environments
