Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR OF EXCELLENCE.

Duties

  • Plans and designs logistical training-related customer assistance programs to include: student and cadre equipment authorizations, supply in/out-processing execution, supporting field training exercises (FTX), and accountability.
  • Plans and designs logistical training-related customer assistance programs to include: supply discipline, excess property, and other activities.
  • Provides logistics training support to other organizational satellite training missions/locations within the Continental United States (CONUS)
  • Reviews and approves supply forms such as material requisitions, turn-in documents and authorization documents.
  • Engages and collaborates with Senior military and civilian personnel in the execution of routine duties.
  • Serves as the training support primary hand receipt holder for the campus.
  • Evaluates organizational operations to determine equipment accountability requirements.
  • Investigates equipment discrepancies for shortages, overages, and incorrect data.
  • Advises campus personnel on equipment loss, damage, and destruction (LDD) procedures.
  • Provides advice and guidance to cadre and other staff members on the full range of supply support services and requirements.
  • Monitors progress toward meeting logistics support plans and/or to identify cause and impact of delays and initiates action to overcome such delays.
  • Interprets and adapts guidelines for supply policies and procedures.
  • Interprets, enforce, and execute policies and procedures for logistics support obtained from external partners supporting the organization's mission.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of supply management programs as demonstrated by experience administering supply and property accountability programs that includes acquisition, receipt, distribution, and storage of supplies and property; maintaining automated property books and hand receipts; and assisting with conducting studies and/or inventories to identify and resolve supply issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-09). Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Relocation Incentive, Advance in Hire (higher Step), Advanced Leave Accrual, and Student Loan Repayment are NOT authorized.
