TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Data Engineer / Migration Specialist to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run data migrations from legacy systems (VistA, Maximo, DMLSS) to modern platforms, and write the data migration plans.

  • Build ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL) and VALIP.

  • Write and maintain the data mapping and validation plan; reconcile and validate data after each load.

  • Mask and sanitize production data for lower environments.

  • Support data extraction, analytics requests and decommissioning data archives.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in ETL, data migration or database development (Mid / Level II).

  • SQL and Python; PySpark or Spark SQL.

  • Data mapping, validation and reconciliation for migrations.

Desired Skills:

  • Migrating from VistA, Maximo or DMLSS.

  • Data masking for lower environments.

  • HL7, FHIR or EDI data formats.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Certified (Maximo) Deployment Professional.

  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer; Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer.

Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Location:

  • Remote, USA.

Pay Range:

  • The suggested pay for this position ranges from $110,546 to $125,875.

  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
