Maintenance Planner

The purpose of the Maintenance Planner is to be accountable for daily maintenance planning, shutdown planning, hazard identification; by identifying the parts, equipment, and resources necessary to safely and efficiently complete the required work.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan PMs and shutdown orders as necessary

  • Generate reports of work order/notification backlog as needed.

  • Maintain 2-week backlog of RFSC (Ready for scheduling jobs)

  • Identify current and upcoming PM’s

  • Creates notifications – identifies work and enter notifications in SAP

  • Generate updates for Technical Objects or Material Masters

  • Works with the Purchasing Department and Central Stores in supporting the delivery of parts, equipment repairs, resources, receiving quotes, etc.

  • Interfaces with Maintenance Advisors, Engineers, Production, Go-To’s and Work Executors on the planning of work.

  • Develops task list/job plans (work instructions) for use in planning, estimating, execution, and maintenance plans.

  • Ensures PM’s (preventive maintenance) are in compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Health regulations by working with each of these organizations.

  • Builds and maintains integrity/monitor PM/PDM’s for compliance and frequency adjustment.

  • Reviews completed orders for cost control and to improve planning efficiencies.

  • Initiates technical object and material master forms for updating the SAP database and creating and/or modifying equipment Bill of Materials (BOM’s).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and 5 years as a Production or Maintenance Technician or equivalent or bachelor’s degree and 1 year of maintenance planning experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a motivated individual contributor and a member of diverse team

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated site safety expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/E&I trouble shooting skills

  • Understanding of maintenance fundamental requirements and best practices

  • Understanding of SAP, Prometheus, and Microsoft Office Suite

Posting will be available until October 22, 2026

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $69,200.00 - $103,800.00. Compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
