Sr. Project Manager
Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
-
Own the full project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and adoption.
-
Develop and maintain program roadmaps aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
-
Manage project scope, schedules, dependencies, milestones, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
-
Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
-
Drive decision-making and issue resolution to maintain momentum and delivery timelines.
-
Prepare and facilitate project meetings, executive status reviews, sprint ceremonies, and steering committee sessions.
-
Establish effective communication plans and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Support organizational change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Business Analysis & Product Ownership
-
Lead requirements gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
-
Translate business needs into well-defined functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
-
Identify gaps, ambiguities, and process improvement opportunities.
-
Partner with stakeholders to prioritize product backlogs and delivery roadmaps.
-
Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and executed.

Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile delivery activities.
Governance & Process Improvement
-
Develop program status reports, documentation, decision logs, and project artifacts.
-
Support implementation of governance frameworks, project management standards, and best practices.
-
Contribute to the development of PMO and Center of Excellence capabilities where appropriate.

Communicate risks, escalations, and key decisions effectively to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
-
Proven Program and/or Project Management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
-
Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders, workstreams, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
-
Strong business analysis and requirements elicitation experience.
-
Ability to convert business objectives into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including:
-
Sprint Planning
-
Backlog Refinement
-
Sprint Execution
-
Agile Ceremonies
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentations.
-
Excellent facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.

Strong proficiency with project management and productivity tools such as:
-
Microsoft Project
-
Microsoft Office Suite
-
Visio or similar process-mapping tools
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in utilities, energy, procurement, sourcing, RFP-driven programs, or other highly regulated industries.
-
Experience functioning as a Product Owner or partnering closely with Product Owners.
-
Experience working with external implementation partners or consulting organizations.
-
Experience supporting or establishing PMO functions and Centers of Excellence.
-
Financial analysis or financial modeling experience is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $120.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
