Full job description

School Speech Language Pathologist–Hemet, CA.

Local Pay: $69.00/ hour

Travel Pay : $28.05

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hrly $28.05 Stipend (Lodging $987.00 + M&I $602.00) = $1,589.00

Total Comp :$2,598.80

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

School Speech Language Pathologist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Who is able to conduct assessments, effectively facilitate IEP meetings, and is familiar with SEIS.

  • Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

  • Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.

  • Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.

  • Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.

  • Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.

  • Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Speech Language Pathologist

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • CPR card issued by the American Heart Association

  • Must have up to date certification in the state of CA

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
