Full job description

Early Childhood Behavior Technician – Ontario, OH

SparkJoy ABA, in partnership with Finni Health, is seeking high-energy, playful, and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide ABA therapy to children with autism. Location: Clinic and/or In-home (Ontario area) Hours & Scheduling: Part-time and full-time options available Why Join Us? We’re a mission-driven, clinician-led company focused on ethical care and meaningful outcomes. If you are naturally outgoing and love to get on the floor, play, and celebrate every small victory with genuine enthusiasm, you’ll fit right in. Your Role:

  • Be a Play-Maker: Work 1:1 with children in a clinic or in-home setting. You aren't just "monitoring"—you are actively playing, moving, and engaging a child to help them meet their goals.

  • Teach Through Action: Use creative, high-movement methods to teach communication, social cues, and daily living skills.

  • Data & Collaboration: Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving.

  • Support Families: Build trust with parents through parent training and consistent, upbeat communication.

Work Environment: This role is active! You must feel comfortable working inside client homes, visiting neighborhoods within the assigned territory, and supporting clinic-based needs as required. Flexibility and a high-energy "can-do" attitude are highly valued. What You Bring:

  • The "Spark": You are energetic, patient, and comfortable being "silly" to engage a child.

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children (daycare, camp counselor, teaching, coaching, or similar) is required. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a passion for working with children are also encouraged to apply!

  • Reliability: You must have reliable transportation to travel to the clinic and/or client homes in the Ontario area.

  • Commitment to Growth: Passing RBT Certification within 90 days of hire is required (we will help you study and cover the cost!).

  • Training: Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required to interview.

  • Active CPR certification is preferred.

Job Details:

  • Pay: $17–$22/hr

  • Benefits: PTO, professional development
