Full job description
Job Duties
Setup and operate manufacturing equipment and process to produce in-spec product.
Follow training and direction to ensure safe operations and productivity.
Communicate and collaborate with other associates.
Follow all health and safety guidelines.
Ensure high quality products are produced consistently and efficiently.
Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move products.
Maintain a basic understanding of how the machine works.
Monitor and/or operate multiple pieces of equipment within a production process.
Perform standard quality control tasks.
Report quality problems with materials, finished product, or equipment to supervisor, maintenance, or engineering.
Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations.
Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other needs as production schedules dictate.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma or GED. Vocational certificate in related field or Associates degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably at least 1 year of experience operating plastics processing equipment.
Willing to consider entry level candidates who are mechanically inclined.
Background and familiarity with extrusion principles and a fundamental understanding of how plastics processing equipment functions is a plus.
Ability to use basic tools and measuring devices.
Strong organizational skills.
Working understanding of safety regulations including OSHA.
Ability to read a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
Ability to follow written directions and procedures.
Fork truck experience strongly preferred.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
