Full job description
Position Overview The Risk Management Analyst supports the Risk Management function at AutoNation by providing administrative, analytical, and project-based assistance across key areas, including Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims and Corporate Security. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Workers’ Compensation (WC) Claims Support
- Assist in the intake, documentation, and tracking of WC claims.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, third-party administrators, and vendors to gather necessary information.
- Support reporting and audits by compiling claim data and ensuring accuracy.
- Security Function Support
- Provide administrative support for Corporate Security initiatives and programs.
- Track and maintain records related to incidents, investigations, and security metrics.
- Assist with invoice processing, vendor coordination, and documentation management.
- Support compliance-related activities and reporting requirements.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to claims, incidents, and risk trends.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership review.
- Identify basic trends, inconsistencies, or opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain dashboards or spreadsheets used for tracking departmental performance.
- Project & Operational Support
- Assist the Director, Risk Management with special projects and initiatives.
- Support process improvement efforts by documenting workflows and identifying efficiencies.
- Help coordinate cross-functional efforts with HR, Legal, Operations, and external partners.
- Perform other administrative and analytical tasks as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, analyst, or support role (risk management, insurance, or corporate environment preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret basic data and trends.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
